SERVE: Operation Clean Sweep Saturday

Please join the SERVE Ministry and our local park Rangers for Operation Clean Sweep Saturday April 21, 9:00am - 1:00pm.

Let's help the Prince William Forest Park clean up and restore their historic cabins and tidy the trails! Many of us in the community have a strong connection to this beautiful park that's right in our back yard, so let's help them get ready for the coming season. This is a great, family-friendly event for all ages! All supplies are provided.

Let's get outdoors, let's SERVE our community, and let's have some fun!

River of Grace has been assigned Cabin #2 and the adjacent trail.17175 Mawavi Road, Triangle, VA 22172. We'll meet here at the church on Saturday morning and carpool over.

Stepping Stones Adult Education Tuesday Evenings

6:30-7:30pm: Stepping Stones 101

This is an introduction to who we are at River of Grace and the Bible.

This introductory class will meet for 5 one hour sessions. The weekly topics include:

•What does everyone is welcome really mean?

•Who we are at River of Grace

•Bible Basics

•What is a worship service?

•Why Lutheran?

7:30-8:30pm Parables 2, 202:

This is one of two class series based on the lessons Jesus taught us through the use of Parables. We'll discuss how each parable applies to us and our church in our daily lives and actions. This class meets for 5 one hour sessions. The weekly topics include:

•Luke 10: 25-42, The good Samaritan

•Luke 7: 36-43, The money lender

•Matthew 18: 23-34, Unmerciful servant

•Mathew 13: 24-30, 36-43, Weeds among good plants

•Luke 8: 16-18, Lamp on a stand

Together, let's build our relationship with God through an understanding of His word and how it can guide and enrich our everyday lives!

Thanks to EVERYONE who's signed up to bring snacks during our Holy Grounds on Sundays. It's our special time for coffee, light snacks, conversation and fellowship. We've got the new sign-up sheet on the bulletin board downstairs!

Why not take a look at your calendar and find a Sunday where you can help bring snacks! You will be part of the loaves and fishes that nourish us all!
